The acronym IQD introduces the new Stunner tyre construction system, the platform representing the foundation for future production. The role of the cavity is pivotal in this structural evolution: a new project, based on state-of-the-art design and technical solutions, providing exceptional stability, grip and excellent support to the characteristics of the compound and the tread. Indeed, the new cavity means that the Stunner tyres can use a layered structure for the tread strip: two different layers of compound to optimise the performance-comfort ratio. In addition to the cavity, the compound itself is where the main improvements introduced by the IQD system are focused. The new formulation ensures optimum interaction between the silica and the other components, with varying proportions according to the performance required of each tyre. The result is a significant increase in grip on all road surfaces, which, together with the fundamental quality of the tread design, means excellent performance.
